Spools

Recently I have totally fallen in love with the products of Collections. They have a gorgeous line of 6 x 6 papers and some pretty chipboard shapes. The little birdhouses as shown in my previous post are also from Collections. Last week I saw some super cute spools on Julie van Oosten's blog and I knew I just had to make them too. She also posted a tutorial. Here is the link: http://nirvanaelements.blogspot.com/2010/05/happy-spools.html . Check it out! They are fun and really easy to make. They are a great way to use up your tiny scraps and those chipboard circles that I never  knew what to do with. The pin cushion spool is a design from Audrey Underwood and is available as a kit http://www.yourcreativewings.com/index.php.

Hope y'all have a great Memorial weekend!

Kind of a cool idea. A bunch of different little ones would look cute in a shadow box.

Hi Bonnie, Wow and wow! your spools are really amazing and beautiful. You often wonder what happens to your stuff when it leaves here and wondering if the items actually get made. Its so nice to see you have "captured" making spools. I had so much fun making them myself, so wonderful to see that you have made them in such a beautiful way. I will send your blog link to Audrey I know she will be impressed!
